The Rural Development Agency of Georgia unites and curates multiple agricultural and rural projects, manages several governmental companies, and provides farmers and rural residents with necessary resources.
We had the challenge of reinventing its visual identity to lay out all the agency's functions in an understandable way.
The old logo represented the agency as a whole without underlining the dynamic fluidity of projects and programs it operated.
First, we came up with the concept of an "extensive village" dividing the agency's whole operating area into specific agricultural and rural spheres. This allowed us to create a central logo and a simple and accessible visual code of icons, representing each branch with instantly recognizable pictographic symbols.
This way, departments and individuals working in one specific field could have their own image on business cards, uniforms, etc., simultaneously sharing the visual code with the whole agency.
Also, the RDA target audience members - farmers and rural workers would identify and find their own branch of interest more effectively.
The "extensive village" part came in when all the icons were arranged side by side, creating an image of a lively and prosperous village.
