My Role
Photographer / Creative Retoucher
Inspired by our shared reality of chronic stress, long work hours and this constant longing for screaming at the top of your lungs to let it all out, Inside Out is my personal project that dates back all the way to 2015, even though it didn’t get to see the light of day until just a year ago. These images are an attempt to visualize the internal turmoil of modern-day humans.
We have to live in stressful environment. In order to escape from this environment it’s vitally essential to get rid of negative thoughts, release and then throw them away.
Visually I see exactly this way the processes taking place inside the human.
Photographing the smoke proved to be quite challenging. I ended up selecting only 15 shots out of a total of over 1000 taken and carried out hours of work to integrate the smoke with portraits.
This series has received wide acclaim in the form of multiple awards and honorable mentions and was also featured in two international publications.
